Can- Am Event

 We had a total of six racers in the Can-Am class with four being in the Racer class and one Amateur and one Pro. Now somehow the heat by heat results were lost of missing as I didn’t get them.

From what I can recall off the top of my, head Greg Lewis won Concours with the same car Harley Harbo used at the San Jose race two months ago.

The start of the race! 1 Pro, 1 Amature and 4 Racers!!

 I remember that Mike Peakes and Greg Lewis got out of the gate fast in the first heat, but then Greg ran into some problems that sent him into the pit. { Floyd Todd put together some very good early heats, and the old guy actually was leading for a while! until Peaks used his horsepower to catch him, and Jay used his track experience to run Floyd down! Floyd pulled his car off for some reason, and then Greg caught him. Ed- Rudy}

 After the first two heats I lost track of what happened. But after eight heats:

 Mike Peakes takes the win by three laps over local racer Jay Matthews as Greg Lewis fought his way back into the top three over all.

Following Greg were Floyd Todd, Greg Lozaga and Ray Stankewitz.

Mike Peaks - Race overall Winner, and 1st Place Amature points!

Greg Lewis - 3rd Place overall, and 1st Place Pro ( but no Pro series in this class)

Racer Podium - Jay Mathews 1st (2nd Place overall) Floyd Todd 2nd (4th  Overall) Greg Lozaga 3rd ( 5th overall)
