GT-12
Greg Lozaga wins Concourse with one of the best looking cars of the day
In this class there were five entered so they were called to the line and the race was under way. GT-12 is not usually run at this raceway, so the field was made up of the traveling racers, we did not have to contend with fast locals this time! Greg Lewis took the lead followed by Rudy Garriga and Mike Peaks, Floyd Todd and Greg Lozaga. After heat two, Rudy took the lead as Greg ran into some problems and also let Mike slipped into second with Greg now third, then it was Greg and Floyd in fourth and fifth. Heat three and Rudy extended his lead to seven laps over Mike and Greg was third, the Greg and Floyd. By the half way mark, Rudy had a seven lap lead over Mike with Greg Lozaga was now third as Greg Lewis was in the pit for repairs. Heat five and Rudy was flying as he moved twelve laps up on Mike while Greg Lozaga was third and Greg Lewis pushing hard was fourth and Floyd was fifth. The end of heat six looked like heat five position wise as it was Rudy, Mike, Greg, Greg and Floyd. At the end of heat seven Rudy was now fourteen laps up on Mike, but he saw what happened to Jay in the Flexi class so he didn’t take any chances and drove smartly. Meanwhile Greg Lewis was pushing his car to try and catch Greg Lozaga for third. Last heat now and we saw Rudy Garriga take the win over Mike Peakes as Greg Lewis just got by Greg Lozaga for third position over all by a matter of a few feet with Floyd Todd in fifth. Good racing guys.
